MINUTES OF DELEGATES MEETING ON 14TH JANUARY 2010
HELD AT FALKLAND ROAD
- All clubs were present with apologies except Formby RBL, London Hotel, and Mere Brow.
- Minutes of last Delegates Meeting taken as read.
- Noted that Zetland A would join the League in Division two and that the two promoted, two relegated would apply. Second Division starts 6th April. Premier and First Division starts 13th April.
- Team applications, delegates, team captains, fixture book requirements were received.
Noted that the Merit would be held at the Zetland Hotel on Sunday 18th July.
Any player on his home green would have a handicap of 3
- The two cup draws were made with the amended handicaps:
Eddie Peet: Top 4 in Premier on Scratch.
Rest in Premier receive 20
Top 6 in First Division receive 30
Alf Thomas: Bottom 4 in First Division on Scratch
Top 4 in Second Division receive 20
Rest in Second Division receive 30
After comments last season the Cup competitions would be at the end of the season although this would involve some early starts. The handicaps would be based on the League positions as at 31st August 2010.
- Green fees: after a discussion it was agreed to keep the fees to £1 per player.
- Presentation night would be a joint one with the Parks League. It will be held in November at Fleetwood Hesketh Social Club, Churchtown. Confirmation of the date is awaited from the Club.
- Formby RBL had informed the League that their green should still be regarded as without lights.
- Treasurer reported that the Presentation Night 2009 showing a profit of £134.24.
- Secretary issued each club with a list of their players from last season. This should be returned on 17th March duly amended. BCGBA membership numbers are not required as it is the clubs' responsibility to ensure that their players have a BCGBA card
- Date of next meeting is 17th March at 8pm at Falkland Road to receive league fees, players registrations and issue Fixture Books

- All clubs were present with apologies except Formby RBL and London Hotel
- Minutes of last Delegates Meeting taken as read.
- Delegates agreed to accept the three divisions for 2009 season.
- Team applications, delegates, team captains, fixture book requirements were received.
Noted that the Merit would continue as a one day event on a Sunday with a limited entry of 32.The prize money would be £60: £30; and 2x £15.
Agreed that any player on his home green would have a handicap of 3
Agreed that the cost of entry to all competitions would stay at £2 per player. Payment to be sent in with the entry form.

HELD AT FALKLAND ROAD
- All clubs were present with apologies from Fleetwood Hesketh.
- Minutes of last Delegates Meeting taken as read.
- Delegates agreed to accept the AGM recommendation for three divisions.
- Team applications, delegates, team captains, fixture book requirements were received.
Noted that the Merit was to be a trial as a one day event on a Sunday with a limited entry of 32.The prize money would be £60: £30;and 2x £15.
Agreed that the cost of entry to all competitions would stay at £2 per player in order to encourage more players to enter. Payment to be sent in with the entry form.

- Sandbrook informed the meeting that planning permission was still awaited for the green lighting and are hopeful that they will be installed this season.

HELD AT FALKLAND ROAD
- All clubs were present with apologies from Crowlands..
- Minutes of last Delegates Meeting taken as read.
- Secretary explained the issues in respect of the AGM.The Delegates discussed the letter from Banks SS Club in respect of the Banks A team promotion issue. After a discussion it was agreed by 13 to 1 that the two top clubs from Division One be promoted and the bottom club from the Premier be relegated..
- Team applications, delegates, team captains, fixture book requirements were received.
- Merit Comp No handicaps.
Individual Comp; Premier and First Division players on scratch:
Second Division players receive 4
Pairs Comp; No handicaps
Agreed that the cost of entry to all competitions would be £2 per player in order to increase the prize money and encourage more players to enter. Payment to be sent in with the entry form.

- Presentation night would be a joint one with the Parks League. It would be held on 19th October at Fleetwood Hesketh Social Club, Churchtown. Secretary thanked all the clubs who supported the 2006 event with 150 attending a very enjoyable evening with an excellent entertainer. Thanks to a well-supported raffle the evening made £150 profit, which has been agreed with the Parks League to retain towards future events.

- Alan Prole updated the meeting on the progress in re-building the clubhouse and thanked clubs and individuals for their cash donations.
